nate richards, north andover high schoolApple’s executive, Steve Jobs who almost single handedly changed the way people consumed music, internet, and T.V, announced his resignation.

Jobs, who has been suffering from Pancreatic Cancer for a little over three years now, sent a letter to the company’s board late Wednesday night announcing his resignation. “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come. I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee. As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.”

Who in the world is Tim Cook? According to Apple’s website, Tim Cook has been Steve Job’s second hand man for the past five years and was responsible for the business side of the company. What this means is that Cook’s responsibilities have been the financial side of the Apple Company. What I personally think of this whole ordeal is that Apple has been through its ups and downs through the years, and the man who has always been there to pick Apple up from the ground was Tim Cook. I don’t think this will affect Apple at all. What do you think? Please share your opinions with me by emailing me at ztns13@aol.com.
