Western Rockingham County residents will once again gather in support of Isaiah 58 New Hampshire’s mission to provide food, clothing and shelter for the homeless and housing insecurity on Friday, September 7, 2018. We need your help to reach our goals this year!
Four years ago Isaiah 58 NH was launched with a mission to provide housing, support services, and life skills training to those in need in the area. Isaiah 58 NH desires to acquire and rehabilitate more housing units that it will own and operate, as well as lease additional apartments which it will manage in order to provide affordable housing for families. Isaiah 58 NH’s primary focus area is Western Rockingham County, an area with a lack of homeless shelters and affordable housing.
This year more than ever we really need to pull together and gain new support. We have had a number of fire victims in need of assistance, and our general clients in need have increased dramatically in 2018 so far. With your help, we are hoping to be able to continue to support the folks that we do today with housing and services, increase the hours of Isaiah’s Place (a Cafe style drop-in/meeting place where community can meet and anyone can come in for coffee/tea and light refreshments and relaxation, located on Rt 111 in Hampstead), and to continue to expand the operation of our Donation and Distribution Center (in Salem) where free clothing, housewares, and furniture items are offered to anyone in need.
We hope you can join us at our Fifth Annual Charity Benefit! The evening will include dinner, cash bar, music, panel discussion, silent auction, and time to mingle with guests and each other. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the “Sheriff Michael Downing Humanitarian Award for Community Service” to a local individual, who has demonstrated outstanding humanitarian service to the community.
We are also looking for businesses and individuals to provide sponsorship (ranging from $250 to $5,000), and items for our silent auction also.
