Former Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera Endorses Vilma Martínez-Domínguez for Mayor

Vilma Martinez-Dominguez’s campaign for Mayor announced that former Mayor Dan Rivera has endorsed her campaign

“I’ve known Vilma for years, first as an advocate for our most vulnerable families, and now as a public servant for our city,” Said Rivera. “She will be a fighter for all of Lawrence, and I’m proud to endorse her campaign for Mayor.”

The endorsement comes on the heels of Martinez-Dominguez formally launching her bid for the Mayor’s office this year with the release of a new campaign video. Martinez-Dominguez’ campaign for Mayor is also leading the pack in fundraising, with over $60,000 raised to this date.

“Mayor Rivera has been a steadfast champion for Lawrence’s working families and small businesses, and his leadership will be sorely missed,”  Said Martinez-Dominguez. “I’m honored to have earned Mayor Rivera’s support in my campaign for Mayor, and I look forward to building upon the progress he’s made across this great city.”

Martinez-Dominguez’s campaign has committed to building a broad coalition of support, ranging from activists, business leaders, and elected officials in Lawrence and across the Merrimack Valley.
