Veteran talk radio personality Jeff Katz will return to the airwaves on a regular basis starting on Monday April 29. Katz, a three time Associated Press award winning broadcaster will contribute a daily commentary for the legendary New England station WCAP-AM 980 which is licensed to the Boston suburb of Lowell. The Katz Commentary will be a sixty second daily commentary, airing in both morning drive and afternoon drive.

“I am thrilled to be able to offer my opinions once again on a daily basis to the people of New England. WCAP is one of the great heritage stations in America and I am honored that they have decided to add my unique perspective to their great station. While The Katz Commentary will certainly address the issues of the day, I will also add in some thoughts and perspectives in the areas of positive psychology and self-growth. The Katz Commentary can best be described as, “Not Left, Not Right, Just Real” said Katz.

Sam Poulten, owner of the venerable WCAP said, “I don’t usually agree with Jeff’s political point of view but I’ve always enjoyed his insight and we’re proud to add The Katz Commentary to our line up of strong, passionate local voices at WCAP-AM 980. We always remind people that WCAP is where everybody gets it and starting April 29 they’ll also get Jeff Katz in the morning and the afternoon.”

While Katz has not hosted a daily talk show since TALK 1200/Boston changed formats in August, he has stayed quite busy in broadcasting with numerous guest hosting duties for the nationally syndicated Todd Schnitt Show. During the week following the Boston Marathon bombings Fox News Radio and dozens of stations from coast to coast featured Jeff as a special correspondent and commentator on the matter.

Katz also writes two monthly columns for The Valley Patriot a New England Press Association Award winning newspaper. He is also a featured contributor to the online Patch publications.
