Lawrence Youth Team Laborer Arrested for Trafficking Heroin, Police Seize $10K in Heroin

Haverhill Police Department Narcotics Unit and ATF AgentsCruz arrest, drugs arrested 21 year old Franklin Cruz,  a laborer for the Lawrence Youth Team. Law enforcement seized 129.9 grams of heroin with a street value of $10,000 along with $1432 in cash on Wednesday 

Cruz (of 2 Grove St Haverhill) was charged with trafficking heroin over 100 grams, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license after police executed a search warrant at 2 Grove St Apt. 1 in Haverhill. 

Cruz was booked at the Haverhill Police Station and ordered held without bail. He will be arraigned in Haverhill District court on Friday.

“This arrest is the result of the many ongoing investigations targeting Heroin dealers in the City of Haverhill,” Detective Captain Robert Pistone said. “This was very good police work by the Haverhill Narcotics Unit. The Haverhill Police encourage citizens to use the anonymous tip line at 978 373 1212 to report suspected drug dealing in their neighborhoods. Many of our successful cases begin with anonymous tips.”
