Grand prize in Tuesday night’s drawing is largest since March


BRAINTREE, MA (JULY 16, 2018) – The Mega Millions jackpot for the Tuesday, July 17 drawing is an estimated $375 million.  The cash option on the prize is an estimated $226.7 million.

Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing will be the 21st since the jackpot was last hit May 4, when a $143 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Ohio.  The $375 million jackpot is the game’s largest since the March 30 drawing, when a $521 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in New Jersey.

“As this jackpot continues to rise, we encourage people to keep the experience of playing Mega Millions and other lottery games fun by playing responsibly and within their means,” said Michael Sweeney, Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery.

Mega Millions tickets are $2 each and can be played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Tickets for Tuesday’s drawing can be purchased until 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at Massachusetts Lottery retailers throughout the state.  Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET in Atlanta, GA.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is an estimated $110 million.  The jackpot for Wednesday night’s in-state Megabucks Doubler drawing is an estimated $1.2 million.
