Megan’s House Hits the Links “Fore” Hope & Recovery

Foundation’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament to raise money and awareness while also honoring Louise Griffin for her strength and leadership in battling the opioid crisis

LOWELL, MA – Friends and supporters The Megan House Foundation will once again tee it up at the beautiful Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut, MA for the organization’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament and Luncheon.

This year’s event, which takes place Monday June 17th at 7:30am, will also honor Louise Griffin for her unwavering support of young people in recovery. Griffin founded Zack’s Team Foundation after the death of her son Zachary due to an accidental overdose. Zach had battled his addiction, developed after a sports injury, for years before his passing in 2013.

“When I received the call informing me I’d be this year’s honoree, I was deeply moved and humbled” said Griffin. “The incredible work being done at Megan’s House is saving lives each and every day and making our community a better place.”

Along with honoring Griffin, the golf tournament features a luncheon, raffle and live auction. Visit www.themeganhouse.org to register to golf, sponsor the event or for more information. Proceeds will benefit the young women in recovery at Megan’s House, Erin’s House and later this year, Emma’s Place.

“We look forward to the opportunity to gather with our supporters, volunteers and staff for a fun day of golf while also furthering the work being done on a day to day basis to combat addiction,” said Megan House Foundation Executive Director Pamela Huntley. “We couldn’t think of a more deserving person to honor than Louise Griffin, whose courage in the face of unspeakable tragedy is a shining example for all of us to follow.”
