Methuen, MA – Mayor Steve Zanni has invited Linda Soucy of the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Inc; Veterans Agent Tom Hargreaves; and representatives from National Grid and Columbia Gas, to join him at the Methuen Senior Center for a Fuel Assistance Forum on Friday, October 18th.
“I hosted this forum for the first time when I was just weeks into my term,” explained Mayor Zanni. “There are so many great public and private programs available to residents, and I really want to make sure as many residents as possible are aware of these great options.”
The forum will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about different public and private programs that are available to reduce energy costs and provide payment assistance. While primarily focused on programs for seniors, all homeowners are invited to learn more about programs that they may qualify for.
“I know that people don’t always have the time to research every potential program, and I am hoping this forum makes people aware of resources that they otherwise wouldn’t have known about,” said Zanni.
