Methuen Police Investigating Armed Robbery

The Methuen Police Department is investigating an armed robbery this afternoon.

On Sunday, Feb. 11 at 9:52 p.m., Methuen Police were dispatched to Oscar’s Liquors, located at 441 Prospect St. for a reported robbery.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that three men had walked in the store demanding money. One of the suspects brandished a black handgun during the robbery.

The suspects fled down Prospect St. toward Ferry Street at the Lawrence city line with an undetermined amount of cash from the store.

No injuries were reported.

Methuen Police are seeking three suspects:

Suspect One is described as approximately 6’2″ and was seen wearing a black winter jacket and maroon sweatpants. He was carrying a black handgun.

Suspect Two is described as 5’10” and was seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and black Puma brand sweatpants with blue sneakers.

Suspect Three is described as 5’11” and was seen wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and black sweatpants. All three suspects wore masks during the robbery.

“We are actively investigating this incident, which could have ended much worse, given the presence of a handgun,” Chief Solomon said.

Methuen police are asking any resident who may have seen something suspicious to call the Methuen Police Department right away.
