North Andover’s New K9 Officer Has Arrived

EricandMoJoBy: Tracey Zysk – Sept. 2014

Chief Gallagher and the North Andover Police Department are happy to announce the arrival of their new K9, a Dutch Shepherd named “MoJo”

It’s the next generation….after the passing of K9 Kyzer, the police department waited a while before bringing on a new dog. There wasn’t any specific reason for the wait, but mostly it was just timing.

Since the Boston Marathon bombing, police departments across the state have been adding dogs to their departments. Training takes place in Boston at the Boston K9 Academy and every class has been full. Timing now was perfect.

Officer Eric Sewade is NAPD’s newest K9 officer and he and his dog Mojo will be attending the K9 Academy under the training of Troy Casey.

I will be covering their progress as they go through their 16 week program and I already can’t wait to report their successes.

Best of luck to you, Officer Sewade and Mojo. The entire town of North Andover supports you and can’t wait to follow your career.
