Powerball Jackpot Reaches $415M – Drawing is Saturday

Grand prize in Saturday night’s drawing is highest since world-record $1.586 billion jackpot on January 13

LotteryBRAINTREE, MA (MAY 5, 2016) The Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, May 7 drawing is an estimated $415 million. The cash option on the prize is an estimated $269.7 million.

Last hit on March 2, this jackpot has been growing for 18 consecutive drawings without a top prize winner.  The $415 million jackpot is the game’s highest since the world-record setting $1.586 billion jackpot that was hit on January 13, 2016.


Powerball tickets are $2 each and can be played in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets for Saturday’s drawing can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. at any Massachusetts Lottery retailer. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET in Tallahassee, Florida.


The Mega Millions jackpot for the Friday, May 6 drawing is an estimated $138 million.
