Sal Lupoli of Sal’s Riverwalk announces workforce training grant

Lawrence/Boston, MA – Sal Lupoli, President/CEO of Sal’s Pizza Retail and Wholesale Divisions, Salvatore’s Restaurants and Riverwalk Properties is proud to announce that Governor Patrick awarded Double N. Inc., a subsidiary of Lupoli Companies a Workforce Training Grant of $162,050 to train 213 workers in Lean Manufacturing principals, sales and marketing, strategic planning, advanced project and time management skills.

 Governor Patrick announced the grant at the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner and said that investing in workforce training is part of the administrations comprehensive strategy to make investments that will create a culture of opportunity focused on restrained spending and long and short term investment, while preparing for the impacts of a softening economy.

Sal Lupoli also extended gratitude to Susan Leger-Ferraro, president and founder of Leadership & Literacy Foundation who was instrumental in providing assistance in writing the grant application. “Susan is not only a huge asset to her own company, but ours as well. Her assistance in this endeavor was critical to the success of receiving the grant.” said Lupoli.

Sal’s investment in his people to improve their quality of life and grow his business is an economic model that should be replicated by all true social entrepreneurs.” said Leger-Ferraro.

Inc., is part of the Lupoli Companies, which is also the parent company of Riverwalk Properties, Mary’s Pasta and Sandwiches, and Sal’s Pizza which has corporate-owned properties in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
