As baseball season will be spent watching the playoffs from homes of every Red Sox player and fan, have no fear because 17 Red Sox from the 2004 World Series team will be at the Wilmington Shriners Auditorium the weekend of November 01.

Kevin Millar, Doug Mientkiewicz, Mike Timlin, Tim Wakefield, Jason Varitek, Keith Foulke, Derek Lowe, Pokey Reese, Curtis Leskanic, Adam Hyzdu, Alan Embree, Orlando Cabrera, Mark Bellhorn, Mike Myers, Dave Roberts and Trot Nixon where all ‘field players’ for that years World Series team that capped off an 86-Year drout of not winning a World Series title.

The 17th member of the Red Sox that will be signing sports memorabilia is no other then Castiglione.

Coming back for his eighth year, Mike Josselyn of Sure Shot Promotions out of Hanson said “I love doing this show every year” explaining that there are a number of people at the show that he sees once a year whether they are workers, dealers, attendees or media personnel. “The guest list is always power packed with many favorites year after year,” said Josselyn.

With the line up that will be appearing in Wilmington this year, Josselyn said he is looking forward to seeing Lowe the most of all.

“Derek Lowe is one of the toughest 2004 guys to get so I am looking forward to seeing him,” said Josselyn. “Trot Nixon “Dirt Dog” is also a favorite. The captain Jason Varitek and Keith Foulke who should have been the World Series MVP are also people I am looking forward to seeing.”

Reflecting on the memorable 2004 World Series, the Main Man of Sure Shot Promotions (Mike Josselyn) said that it would be great to catch up with Dave Roberts, the man whose theft of second base brought everything up hill for the Red Sox.

As Billerica native Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas (of Georgia) both were inducted into Cooperstown this past summer, a line can be expected for these two baseball legends.

Glavine for earning a record of 305-203 with an earned run average of 3.54 in 682 games picking up 56 complete games, 25 shut outs and 2,607 strikeouts all in 4,413.1 innings pitched. He played in the majors for 22-Years, 17 with the Atlanta Braves and 5 with the New York Mets.

Playing for the Chicago White Sox for 16-Years and the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics for 2-Years, Thomas (The Big Hurt) played in 2,322 games going to the plate 10,075 times picking up 2,468 hits, 495 doubles, 12 triples, 521 home runs and 1,704 runs batted in.

“The whole Fonzie character is an icon of television of any age. He was the coolest,” said Josselyn saying maybe there could be a juke box he can start to wrapping it with his knuckles “ayyyy”. He was also very funny in the Water Boy movie. One of my favorites, “There will be some high quality h2o available at the event.”
