Woof ! Woof ! Woof ! Every dog in Massachusetts sends a BARK of THANKS to Sen. Bruce Tarr. ( R)

That’s right our boy Sen. Bruce Tarr not only did the right thing for the animals of Essex County but for the entire State of Massachusetts.

On Thursday April 1, 2010 the Senate passed House Bill 344 Act Prohibiting Devocalization.

The Coalition to Protect and Rescue Pets ( CPR ) released this statement to me late Thursday night .

“Sen. Tarr championed House Bill 344 in the Senate for one reason only: It was the right thing to do. Those who asked for his help are not constituents, and the Coalition is unfunded–unlike the monies lobbies that influenced some senators. Yet Sen. Tarr didn’t hesitate to stand up for this humane legislation. He devoted his time, effort and advocacy to protect dogs and cats. All who care about animals owe him a debt of gratitude:

Sen. Bruce Tarr, Statehouse, Room 313A, Boston 02133.”

This is great news however, it isn’t a bill yet and still has a couple of challenges. The next step in the process is for Governor Deval Patrick to sign this bill “as written” for it to become official. We are all hoping that our Governor listens to the people and realize this is what we want. We want to be able to protect our animals: dogs and cats, whether they are family pets, breeder or show dogs all from this cruel, brutal and unnecessary procedure.

Thanks again to Sen. Bruce Tarr …tons of sloppy kisses and wet noses can’t thank you enough!
