Toohey Opens Campaign Headquarters for State Rep. Candidacy

HAVERHILL –This past Saturday, Shaun Toohey, candidate for state Representative, officially announced the opening of a new campaign office in the heart of the 3rd Essex District he hopes to represent soon on Beacon Hill.

Joined by State Representative Lenny Mirra (R – West Newbury) and other supporters, Toohey said the office – located at 246 Essex Street in Haverhill – will serve as a rallying point for campaign volunteers and resources. It also will make his campaign more accessible by providing voters with a place to find out more about Toohey and his positions on important issues.

“I want everyone to know that we are in this race to win it,” Toohey said in a brief statement. “The special election is just a few weeks away, and I will use every opportunity between now and then to get our message out to more people across Haverhill. By opening this office, our campaign is increasing our ability to connect with more people and to tell them about the positive momentum we continue to generate heading into Election Day.”

He continued by discussing certain issues he is focused on as a candidate and the importance of the race to everyone in Haverhill.

“I am proud to call Haverhill my home,” Toohey said. “There is nowhere else I would rather raise my family or run a small business. I want to see our city and all of its people continue to thrive. That’s why I am running for State Representative.”

“There is so much at stake for the future of Haverhill on November 7,” Toohey said. “As residents of this great community, we have an opportunity to craft a new vision for our city. I believe our vision should be one focused on making sure we have safer streets, and that we’re doing everything we can to fight crime and battle the scourge of opioid abuse. Our vision also should be one where we support quality education for our children, economic development and job creation for adults, and comfort for seniors in their older years. And, our vision for the future should be one that makes our state government more fiscally responsible and accountable to taxpayers. I will work hard to make that vision a reality every day I serve as a State Representative on Beacon Hill.”
