Torrisi Applies to Replace North Andover School Committeeman Burzlaf who Resigned to Take Job In Town Managers Office,

Laurie BurzlaffNorth Andover School Committeeman Laurie Burzlaff has resigned her seat on the committee to take a job with the Town as Executive Assistant to the Town Manager. The job pays approximately $48,000.

 Burzlaff was elected to the School Committee in 2009 and was reelected in 2013. School Committee members in North Andover serve a three-year term and are elected during town elections in March.

Burzlaff left just seven months before her term was set to expire setting up a special appointment to replace her. A joint meeting of the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen will vote on a temporary replacement for TORISSIBurzlaff within 30 days. 

Among the eight applicants to replace Burzlaff is defeated State Representative David Torrisi and former School Committeeman William Kelley. 

The Town of North Andover released the names of those applying to replace Burzlaff. They are listed below.
