*UPDATED* Methuen Police Seek Home Invasion Suspects

Note: The following includes an updated description of the two suspects.

The Methuen Police Department is actively seeking two suspects allegedly involved in a home Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Feb. 13, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Methuen Police responded to a residence on Ruskin Avenue for a report of a home invasion.

The calling party stated that two men forced their way into her apartment and held her against her will in the bedroom before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. The victim reported that one of the suspects was carrying a long gun. Nothing has been reported missing at this time.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium complexion and thin build, wearing a red ski mask, black and grey sweatpants and a similar colored sweatshirt.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium complexion and heavier build, short in stature, and wearing round black sunglasses, gloves and a grey sweatshirt that was covering his face.

Massachusetts State Police and Methuen K-9 units responded to the scene to assist with locating the suspects. K-9 units are currently still in the process of searching the area.

“This is an unfortunate incident where a resident was victimized in their own home,” Mayor Jajuga said. “I am confident that Methuen Police will do everything in their power to locate these suspects.”

“This case is still very active and we are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to call police immediately,” Chief Solomon said. “Please always say something if you see something.”

An initial investigation indicates that this was a targeted attack and there is no danger to the community.

This incident remains under active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Methuen Police at 978-983-8698.
