Dog of the Month: Henry

PUPPYLOVE WITH KATE WHITNEYPUppy-Henry

Woof! I’m Henry….Before I got the name Henry, I was known as #211 at the county pound. I am super friendly with people and other dogs. I am a sweetie. They think I am a Shepherd mix and about 1.5years old.

I am up to date with my vaccines, and heartworm negative. I didn’t mind the vet looking in my mouth during my exam. I just wanted to crawl in the volunteer’s lap and cuddle. I weigh about 53lbs but I’m skinny and could afford to gain some weight. I wandered to a nice family’s home, where they took me in. They couldn’t keep me so they turned me over to animal control in VA. I got along great with their dogs and the 4 young kids they had.

I am your typical German Shepherd; I’m very strong and need exercise. An active home with a fenced yard where I can run around and stretch my legs would be best. I still have lots of puppy energy and would do best in a home that is experienced with the shepherd breed. I get along great with other dogs, but I love 1-on-1 human attention. I am very playful when other dogs are around, so I would love to be in a home where I am the only dog, so I can settle down and get lots of attention from my family.
