Former Lawrence Mayor Mike Sullivan Voted Chair of Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce

The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce, the largest business network serving communities in the Merrimack Valley, announces after nearly a decade of strong, visionary and committed leadership, Salvatore Lupoli, has retired from the Board of Directors.

Sal served as Chairman during a trying period, leading the Chamber through the worst recession since the great depression and then working with our members as we faced together the COVID crisis, which hopefully will abate soon. The members of the MV Chamber wish to thank and commend Sal Lupoli for his dedicated leadership and we all wish him well as he continues to expand Lupoli Companies!

The Chamber is pleased to announce that after review and consideration, the Chamber’s Nominating and Executive Committees have voted to elect Michael Sullivan as the new Chairman of the Board.  Prior to his election as Chairman of the Board, Michael Sullivan has most recently served as the Committee Chairman of the Chamber’s Education /Workforce Development Committee.

In addition, Michael served two successful terms as Mayor of the City of Lawrence and understands the interaction of business and government. His company, TA Sullivan Insurance and Real Estate, has been a member of the Chamber for nearly thirty years and is well respected and known throughout the Merrimack Valley.

The Chamber and its members welcome Michael and know he will do well for our members and communities!
