Lawrence Police Receive Tip on Drug Dealers

Cops Nab 2 Lawrence Residents Selling Cocaine in South Lawrence

(LAWRENCE) Lawrence Police officers arrested two Lawrence residents last night selling cocaine in the CVS parking lot on South Broadway.

Detectives arrested Nelson Santiago and Roxannne Batista of 20 Bennett St. in Lawrence for possession  and distribution of a Class B substance (cocaine).

Officers say that they have been receiving complaints about drug dealing in the CVS parking lot located at the intersection of S. Broadway and Andover Streets.

“The complaint was specific to the activity taking place after dark by a male and female,” one officer said.

“The information was that these two suspects were meeting up with motor vehicles and conducting drug transactions. The unit used a confidential informant and went to this area to meet up with these suspects. Upon arrival the CI met up with the dealers and negotiated a purchase of Cocaine. As a result the two dealers were arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B Cocaine.”
