BRAINTREE, MA (FEBRUARY 26, 2018) – The Powerball jackpot for the Wednesday, February 28 drawing is an estimated $293 million, while the Mega Millions jackpot for the Tuesday, February 27 drawing is an estimated $222 million.
The cash option on the Powerball prize is an estimated $172.6 million, while the cash option on the Mega Millions prize is an estimated $130.7 million
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing will be the 15th since the jackpot was last hit January 5, when a $450 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Florida.
Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing will be the 15th since the jackpot was last hit January 6, when a $559.7 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in New Hampshire.
Mega Millions tickets are $2 each and can be played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets for Tuesday’s drawing can be purchased until 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at Massachusetts Lottery retailers throughout the state. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET in Atlanta, GA.
Powerball tickets are $2 each and can be played in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets for Wednesday’s drawing can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at Massachusetts Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET in Tallahassee, Florida.
