A Methuen man was robbed of $200 cash yesterday when he arrived to make a purchase of an iPhone 6 from a female he made arrangements with via a Facebook page “Lawrence Electronics.”
The victim arrived at the arranged location, 58 Broadway, yesterday morning, (Thursday May 14th) with intentions of paying the female cash for the iPhone 6.
When the victim gave the female the cash, the female walked away, entered a black Honda, and attempted to flee the area. The victim followed the female to the vehicle, occupied by four people, and demanded the phone. When he approached the vehicle, he says he heard a “click” and noticed the back seat passenger pointing a gun at him.
In fear, the victim backed away from the vehicle and the vehicle fled the scene towards Lawrence.
Police say that due to the victim’s superb attention to detail in regards to the suspects descriptions, and a joint investigation between Methuen and Lawrence Police and Detectives, four arrests were made in regards to this incident.
