Nanci Milone Hill is new Director of Dracut Public Library

John Dyer, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Dracut M. G. Parker Memorial Library is pleased to announce that Nanci Milone Hill will join the Dracut M. G. Parker Memorial Library staff as the LIBRARY DIRECTOR on January 22, 2013.

Ms. Hill most recently worked as the Director of the Boxford Town Library in Boxford, MA and previous to that several other Massachusetts Libraries. She brings with her a vast amount of experience in library management and patron services.

She is the author of Reading Women: A Book Group Guide for Women’s Fiction, which was released from Libraries Unlimited in March of 2012. In addition, she co-edits the “Perspectives” column for Public Libraries, writes a bi-monthly column for Library Journal, and is a regular contributor to NoveList; a readers’ advisory database utilized by public libraries. She serves on the Executive Board of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium, as well as the Executive Board of MassLNC (the Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative). She is also active in the Massachusetts Library Association and the American Library Association.

Ms. Hill has a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science, Boston, MA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Philosophy from Bradford College, Bradford, MA.

Ms. Hill states that she is thrilled to be joining the wonderful staff at the Dracut Library, and looks forward to working with them to bring the best possible library service to all Dracut patrons.
