For this month’s article, I wanted to do something a little different. Usually, my articles inform you about the happenings of my time at the State House and all the things we are doing to improve Methuen and Haverhill. But this month, I will address the High School graduates of the Class of 2025.
As the final bell rings and the caps soar into the sky, I proudly congratulate the Class of 2025. Whether it be Methuen High, Haverhill High, GLTS, or Whittier Tech, I have seen so much potential in our graduating classes this coming season.
Among you are this Commonwealth’s future teachers, doctors, plumbers, electricians, and leaders. This season marks not just the end of a chapter but the beginning of a bold, new journey filled with potential, promise, and purpose.
First, I would like to thank all of you who have decided to join the military. Volunteering to serve your country is one of the most extraordinary acts of patriotism one can do. I, for one, want to thank you!
High school graduation is a milestone built on years of hard work, resilience, growth, and unforgettable memories. You’ve navigated expected and unforeseen challenges and emerged ready for what comes next. Whether stepping into college, the workforce, the military, or discovering your path, know that the foundation you’ve built here will carry you forward.
To the students: You’ve shown that courage isn’t just about grand gestures—it’s found in everyday persistence, late-night studying, standing up for what’s right, and helping others along the way. We celebrate not just your academic accomplishments, but your compassion, creativity, leadership, and determination.
To the parents, families, teachers, and mentors: Thank you for being the steady hands and open hearts behind these young adults. Your support, encouragement, and sacrifices have helped shape a class ready to lead with empathy and integrity. Coming from a family of teachers, it’s an honor to see firsthand what it takes to ensure students’ success.
To the Class of 2025: Take pride in how far you’ve come—and keep your eyes on how far you can go. The future needs your voice, your vision, and your unique gifts. No matter where life takes you, never forget where you started, and never forget the blue-collar grit and determination that comes from growing up in the Merrimack Valley.
