Two men were show Tuesday afternoon at Brook and Union Streets in Lawrence after a fight broke out early in the afternoon.
Valley Patriot sources say one man was shot in the neck and was trasnsported to the Lawrence General Hospital. Shortly after the incident, a second shooting victim arrived on his own at the hospital.
Both were taken via medflight to Boston and are in stable condition.
Lawrence Police Chief Roy Vasque said that the shooter and victims knew each other and they have a really good idea of who the shooter is and expect to have him in custody shortly.[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM8b7GwVIt8&feature=youtu.be&w=380&h=280]
State Police and news helicopters hovered over the area in search for the shooter but he is not in custody at this time.
Police found as many as 26 shell casings on the street but would not release any information about the number of bullets fired.
