Methuen Ballet Ensemble to Perform Nutcracker


The Methuen Ballet Ensemble is making its annual trip to Newburyport to perform “The Nutcracker” on November 30th at 3pm and 7pm and on December 1st at 1pm. All performances will take place at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, a beautiful waterfront performing arts venue right in the heart of downtown Newburyport.

Company members will perform all principle roles and will be joined by Alban Costello, a special professional guest artist from Festival Ballet Providence, who will perform the Snow King and Sugar Plum Cavalier. All children roles are performed by students from Voter’s School of Dance in Salem, NH, the official school of the Methuen Ballet Ensemble, as well as Dance Concepts in Pelham, NH and Helene Joy School of Dance in Middleton, MA.

This production truly comes to life with special effects including a growing tree and falling snow. New choreography and custom made costumes make this local production of professional caliber. Don’t miss it!
