Not Afraid – Christians and Jews United for Israel

By: Beth D’Amato – Nov. 2016

jacobsChristians and Jews United for Israel (CJUI) held their annual Genesis Awards last month in Newton. This award ceremony is held to recognize individuals who have demonstrated courageous leadership and enduring love for Israel.

The keynote speaker and award recipient this year was Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Ms. Ali is a champion of women in the Middle East and tries to both educate and free them from oppression under Islam. Ali’s latest best-selling book titled “Infidel” highlights female genital mutilation and violence against women. She is an outspoken critic of Islam’s tolerance and promotion of female honor killings.

CJUI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to fight the ongoing anti-Semitism that runs rampant in our country specifically on our college campuses. They have brought attention to the omission of Jewish history, specifically the Holocaust, in the textbooks used in the Newton school system. They fight to educate people concerning the truth about Israel and expose those who slander and seek to destroy it as a Jewish nation.

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the vast majority of hate crimes and civil rights attacks in The United States are against Jews.

Who are the ones who wish to destroy Israel and exterminate the Jews?

Predominantly those living in hostile, neighboring Muslim-dominated countries, and those who immigrate from those countries to the west. Israel is a threat to their religion and their culture because Israel is the only free and democratic society in the Middle East that values and protects human and civil rights.

So, why would Christians want to get involved in the Jewish/Israel saga?

epsteinfinalonlineSince speaking the truth can be controversial and downright dangerous, CJUI President Ray Hanna had some insight to that question. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Ray came to The United States with his family in the late 60s because, as Coptic Christians, their only hope was to get to America and be free of Sharia and Islamic rule or face death.

Ray was also keenly aware of the surrounding Muslim countries and culture in the Middle East and their desire to defame and destroy Israel as well as kill the Jews.

He also knew that Israel contains the very roots of Christianity, and that Israel protects those religious sites and holy relics of his religion. Besides being the Chosen People of God, protecting and supporting Israel is the right thing to do, he says. Now, Hanna lectures and educates people about hidden and not so hidden anti-Semitism in America and the dangers of radical Islam.
CJUI and the other organizations are constantly under threat of violence and need to have round-the-clock security because of Jew haters who masquerade as civil rights advocates.

At the CJUI Gala event in Newton this past month, not only was there heavy security present but there were also bomb sniffing dogs at the venue. So, why would people want to risk their safety and their very lives to speak out against Sharia Law, the enslavement of women, and rampant anti-Semitism in the United States? In the coming months, The Valley Patriot will be exploring the amazing work of Christians and Jews United for Israel and the brave people who put their lives on the line to publicly speak out against Jew Hatred and anti-Israeli propaganda.
Sister organizations that work hard to make the American public aware of the dangers of a society dominated by Islam:

hannaAmericans for Peace and Tolerance. This group is a Boston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by Dr. Charles Jacobs. You will find Dr. Jacobs name on many lists accusing him of Islamophobia and hate speech against Muslims.

Dr. Jacobs is a target of anti-Semitic attacks disguised as complaints about civil rights of Muslims to silence him but he is not deterred.

ACT for America: Brigitte Gabriels’s group (CJUI president Ray Hanna is Leader of the Boston Chapter) is the nation’s largest 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, non-partisan, grassroots national security organization with 300,000 members and more than 1,000 chapters around the country focused on educating, engaging, and mobilizing citizens and elected officials to impact legislative outcomes to protect America.
