Pavegate Costs City Again Over $600,000 to fix and re-do Pavegate roads
When Lawrence former Mayor Willie Lantigua tried to use state Chapter 90 money to help his reelection campaign he chose to use substandard paving materials and then plastered signs on every street stating the roads were being paved due to the efforts of Lanitgua.
On Thursday, Mayor Rivera (who defeated Lantigua by 84 votes) will hold a press conference at noon to discuss the state of last year’s Chapter 90 money misuse and the plans for this year’s Chapter 90 money.
The press conference will be held on Phillips Street in Lawrence between North Parish Road and Exeter Street.
