Learn About New Advances in the Detection and Treatment of Lung Cancer at Holy Family Hospital

 Three medical experts will join together to present a free seminar about advances in the detection, management and treatment of lung cancer at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Guest speakers are Pulmonologist Samy Sidhom, MD, Oncologist Ankur Mehta, MD, and Radiologist Janneth Romero, MD, who specializes in chest CT.

Attendees will learn about low-dose lung CT screenings for early detection of lung cancer and the guidelines for who is eligible, diagnostic technologies used for investigation of pulmonary nodules, management and follow-up for pulmonary nodules, treatment modalities for early stage lung cancer versus metastatic disease, and the evolving role of immunotherapy and targeted therapy in treatment of lung cancer.

 This presentation is free and open to the public, and runs from 6-7:30 p.m. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.
