Methuen Police Arrest Man Barricaded on Pine Street After Escaping Police Custody in Lowell

RUSO4Methuen police called in the swat team early Tuesday morning at 30 Pine Street when a man who escaped police custody in Lowell Friday night, barricaded himself in his home as Methuen police showed up to take him into custody on a warrant.

Police were seeking Aaron Russo for a probation warrant and escaping custody. Police spent nearly two and a half hours trying to get Russo to give himself up. He eventually did come out without incident.

Methuen police arrested Russo and will book him at the Methuen police station before transferring him to Lowell police for prosecution in Middlesex County. A female in the house was also arrested for possession of a class “A” substance.
