Methuen Police Department Adds Six New Cruisers

Mayor Stephen N. Zanni and Police Chief Joseph Solomon are pleased to announce that the Methuen Police Department will be adding six new vehicles to aid and improve public safety in Methuen.

The department will be adding four 2014 Ford Police Utility Vehicles, assigned to the Uniformed Division (Patrol Division), and two 2014 Ford Taurus unmarked police vehicles, assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau (Detective Bureau).

“It is so crucial to have the finest possible tools to insure the safety of our citizens,” says Mayor Zanni. “These new vehicles will bring a sense of pride to our police personnel and the community as a whole. Moreover, they help to keep Methuen at the forefront of public safety technology.”

The new police vehicles were purchased at MHQ in Marlboro, MA. Adamson Industries in Haverhill, MA outfitted the emergency lights for the vehicles. Please contact John Molori in the Mayor’s Office at 978-983-8506 for further information or interview requests.
