My Vision for a Resource Centers in Lawrence & Methuen

State Rep.  Francisco Paulino – 3-23

As your State Representative for District 16th, I am committed to
working tirelessly to improve the quality of life in our communities.
It is an honor to announce that I have been appointed by Speaker Ron Mariano and his leadership team to serve on several important committees. I look forward to contributing to the House Committee on Federal Stimulus and Census Oversight, House Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, House Committee on Revenue, and House Committee on Emergency Preparedness and Management.

These committees are critical areas that require strong leadership, collaboration, and dedication to the well-being of our communities. I am excited to work with my colleagues to ensure that we continue to make progress and achieve success in these areas. I want to express my gratitude for the trust that Speaker Mariano and the leadership team have placed in me, and I am ready to get to work.

As your representative, I am committed to creating opportunities and improving the quality of life in our communities. One of my top priorities is education. Education is essential for personal growth and community development, and it is our duty as a community to provide our children with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

With this in mind, I have a plan to assist Janelle Abreu, the Library Director, in reopening the old South Lawrence Library, located at 135 Parker Street, Lawrence, Massachusetts 01843, as a resource center.
This center will serve as a valuable resource for South Lawrence children, providing them with a safe and welcoming environment where they can receive homework assistance, guidance on completing college and financial aid applications, and information about apprenticeship opportunities.

I have also had important conversations with Mayor Perry and the President of the YMCA about building a facility in the heart of the East End Neighborhood. This facility will provide children with access to resources and opportunities, enhancing their social skills and supporting their personal growth.

Additionally, as a member of the House Committee on Revenue, I plan to advocate for policies and funding that will benefit our communities.

It is critical that we invest in our communities’ infrastructure, education, and economic development. By doing so, we can create a foundation for long-term growth and prosperity.

These efforts are part of my commitment to creating opportunities and improving the quality of life in our communities. I am dedicated to working with local leaders and community organizations to create a positive impact.

Through my work on the House committees and my collaborations with local leaders and community organizations, I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

I invite the entire community to join our efforts for a better Merrimack Valley. By investing in education, infrastructure, and economic development, we can create a foundation for long-term growth and prosperity. Together, we can create a better future for our communities. Thank you for your support.
