Regardless of where you stand on the recent Supreme Court Decision (Dobbs) declaring that abortion is not a constitutional right; you have to admit the Democratic Party in this country has a lot of explaining to do.
For decades they have promised their voters that they would protect “abortion rights” and “make sure Roe v. Wade is never overturned.”
That is, as long as you donate LOTS of money to them every year and make sure they hold power in Washington.
Like dutiful little soldiers, the base of the Democratic Party who favor abortion whipped out their checkbooks for decades, attended democrat campaign rallies, gathered signatures for Democratic Party candidates, and lugged their families to the voting booths to make sure abortion was protected by the Democrats.
But the Democrats failed.
They failed to stop Donald Trump from getting elected.
They failed to impeach him and remove him from office.
They failed to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law, even though they had both houses of congress and the presidency multiple times in the last forty years.
Some of our Democrat readers reached out to us just after Roe v. Wade was overturned. They were furious. But they weren’t furious at the Supreme Court, they were furious at the Democratic Party.
What angered these Democrats most was that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) sent out fundraising letters the day after Roe v. Wade was overturned, promising to protect abortion … as long as you send them more money!
“First it’s ‘give us money and we will protect Roe’, now it’s ‘give us money because you don’t have Roe to protect you anymore?’ I will never give Democrats another penny. Their promises mean nothing, their words mean nothing,” one woman said.
Republicans may have their own internal problems, but if this sentiment takes hold nationally, the Democratic Party is going to go the way of the Whig Party.
